The Wiikwemkoong Board of Education invites tenders for Snow Clearing/Removal at the
following School locations from November 06, 2025, to April 24, 2026. The following places
are located on the:
WIIKWEMKOONG UNCEDED INDIAN RESERVE.
Wiikwemkoong Hub Centre
27 Amikook Street
Wiikwemkoong Junior School
2235 Wikwemikong Way
Wiikwemkoong Pontiac School
2343 Wikwemikong Way
Wiikwemkoong High School
34 Henry Street

1. Parking Lots/Driveways will be cleared of snow when accumulations reach 4 inches as
per the guidelines for winter maintenance & and also sanded and salted after plowed
2. Parking Lots/Driveways will be cleared & and sanded by 6:00 am and must remain
clear from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm, 5 days per week.
3. Clearing of Fire Lanes on Weekends/Holidays.
4. Clearing of sidewalks/walkways is included in this tender.
5. On-call basis when there is a freezing rain hazard to remove any standing slush from
the driveways, and parking lots.
6. Hub Centre, Wikwemikong Junior/Pontiac Schools: Removal of snowbanks will be
required when it interferes with the children’s safety, visibility of roads, and signage, and
to prevent fence damage; this will be done when snowbanks reach a height of 2 feet.
7. Wikwemikong High School: Removal of snowbanks from the parking lot will be
required when it interferes with the visibility of roads/signage and prevents fence
damage; this will be done when the banks reach a height of 6 feet.
