Request for Proposals (RFP) Anishinaabe Curriculum Developer: Grades 1–6 Science and Social Studies
Description
The Wikwemikong Board of Education (WBE) is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or teams to design and pilot five (5) Anishinaabe curriculum modules that integrate Anishinaabemowin, culture, and community knowledge within the elementary Grades 1–6 curriculum. This project supports WBE’s Strategic Plan and our community’s ongoing Anishinaabemowin language revitalization goals, with the aim of creating locally developed curriculum resources that reflect Wiikwemkoong/Anishinaabek worldviews, values, and knowledge systems.
Requirements
Design and pilot five (5) curriculum modules aligned with the Ontario Science and Social Studies curriculum expectations for Grades 1–6.

Integrate Anishinaabemowin language, Anishinaabe worldviews, and cultural teachings throughout the modules.
•
Incorporate both classroom-based and land-based learning opportunities.
•
Convene and collaborate with Wiikwemkoong Elders, Knowledge Holders, and educators during the development and pilot phases.
•
Ensure materials are suitable for use within Wiikwemkoong schools and adaptable for broader Anishinaabek contexts.
•
